Fishin-n-Deep

Saturday, May 7, was a day for a special deep sea fishing trip for members of the CEN-TEX Chapter, sponsored by Ben Talamantez and ECO-SYSTEMS of Floresville, TX.

A party of 18 eighteen (pictured – standing: L-R are Ron Amos, Allen Stoeltje, Tom Brown, Mike Tafolla, Richard Tuttle, Harry Oliver, Earl Stewart, Ben Talamantez, Nolan Anderson, Rusty Stanfield, Jim Hicks and Ron Mack; kneeling: L-R are Bennett Talamantez, Penny Stewart, Fritz Klubunde, Lonnie Bodiford, Susan Torres, and Randy Zanatta) rode a 70-foot boat, the “Pelican,” of Port Aransas, TX some 35 miles out into the Gulf and back, to enjoy 8 hours of boating and fishing. Although the ride was pretty bumpy going out and the waves were big, the “big fishermen and ladies” had a lot of fun and a huge catch although there were a few heaves.

CEN-TEX members from North East ISD and Northside ISD in San Antonio joined in for the trip after Nolan Anderson from NEISD and Tom Brown of NISD won door prizes at two fall CEN-TEX meetings. THANKS to BEN and ECO-SYSTEMS for a “great time” and their continued support of CEN-TEX and TAPT.
